In December 2022, we held an online research conference, with presentations given by four medical students from Sheffield University. They were with us for their Social Accountability placement, and had four weeks in which to carry out research and present their findings. 

Each student addressed a different topic:

•  Sanjana Mehrotra reflected on SCCT’s 2.5 year history and looked at what could be next for the organisation
• Emma Johnson addressed the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on UK undergraduate students
• Kiran Randhawa considered the effect of social media on public perceptions of, and response to, the Covid-19 pandemic
• Merrie Woodcock considered Covid-19, alcohol use and the effect on a local support group
