Digital Health Innovations Research

Sheffield Community Contact Tracers member Dr Paulina Ramirez is Assistant Professor of International Business in the Department of Strategy and International Business at the University of Birmingham. She has been working on research into Building Inclusive Innovation Systems.

The aim of the project is to explore ways of involving diverse communities in the co-innovation of digital health technologies, as a necessary step to ensure a socially inclusive transition towards a digital health system, based on universal health coverage and respect for privacy.

In Birmingham, Paulina is working with whg, a community housing association, as well as community organisations and the NHS to carry out research looking at what a Community Digital Health Co-Innovation Hub could look like and how it might work.
